Job Description

Role Summary:

Assisting the logistics operation of our Retail stores by driving the charity’s van and transporting donated stock between storage (Main Office) and the shops.


Ideally, this will be once a week (as arranged with your line manager). Our shops are open from 9.30am-4.30pm Monday-Saturday (Hexham Store and Furniture Shop open Sunday).


We have five shops:

•             Hexham Store

•             Hexham Bookshop

•             Furniture Shop

•             Prudhoe

•             Ponteland

Our Hospice Van is based in our Furniture shop in Hexham.

Who We Are Looking For:

Retail Van Drivers must be aged 18 or over and have a valid driving licence, which includes driving a large wheelbase transit. They must also and should have the ability to lift bags and boxes of donated goods into and out of the vehicle.

Training and Support:

You will be supported by the Furniture Shop Driver, Furniture Shop Manager and the Retail Operations Manager. We will provide you with an induction including manual handling training, ongoing training and regular updates during your time with us.
